Igor Kuznets is a senior lawyer at the firm specializing in M&A and Private Equity / Venture Capital transactions, as well as general corporate issues. Mr. Kuznets graduated with distinctions from the faculty of law at the Russian State Tax Academy. Before joining the firm Mr. Kuznets was a lawyer at Levant and Partners, and before that - a lawyer at Russia Partners Management private equity firm. Igor participated in preparation of several articles on Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions in Russia published in international legal guide magazines. Igor speaks English fluently.
Igor's experience includes:
- Coordination with anti-monopoly bodies and legal support of transactions providing acquisition of shares in several largest Russian-based companies – producers of construction materials;
- Participation in development and performance of a transaction for alienation of a large regional company providing telecommunications services;
- Participation in development and building of holding structure managing several channels of satellite television in Russia;
- Legal Due Diligence and support of restructuring of group of companies owning machinery plant in Omsk, Russia;
- Development and support of restructuring of group of companies – manufacturers and importers of finishing materials;
- Support of establishing and activities of several Russian-based firms of real sector of economy, including legal support of private equity transactions of these companies;
- Consulting of a Taiwan company in respect of collecting a debt from its Russian supplier;
- Legal Due Diligence of a company holding a land plot in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, analysis of title to the plot, structuring and support of transaction for acquisition of the company;
- Legal support of an M&A transaction regarding a large Russian-based company – producer of confectionery;
- Legal due diligence of a well-known Russian pharmaceutical company;
- Participation in development of Rules of a Russian Federal agency;
- Consulting of a well-known Russian investment fund regarding restructuring and securing of a loan receivable;
